J.roo’s Restaurant; July 3, 2017

We made a net total of $1,350. from the 20% restaurant offer and our first raffle. Our only expense was $200 which was our contribution for the entertainment so our donation to the Animal Control Gift Fund was $1,150.

With our 3rd event under our belt, our organization is still in its infancy. Until the word gets out about what we are doing, these fundraisers would not be nearly as successful if it were not for Savile Row lending us their local drawing power. You may find them on Facebook under Savile Row of Hamden.

A big thank-you to Dian Visselman who co-coordinated this event. She brokered the deal with the restaurant and in the true spirit of a Regional Animal Shelter; helps keep our initiative alive in North Haven.

Thanks also to Abandoned Animals Inc., who ran the raffle. Arlene, Peggy & Laurie’s help was immeasurable. In that same vein, Jody Langer manning the raffle tickets was instrumental on our overall net take. All I can say is that she is the best volunteer we ever hi-jacked!

Thank-you to Terry DaGradi from Westville for designing our flyer and The McPartland Family of Hamden for donating the colored copies.

Also the following merchants went out of their way to donate raffle prizes or services to make this event a success, we hope you consider them when making local purchases:
